Hailing from the land of Borneo, Swaiv is an independent band based in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, consisting of 5 members, Rendall (drums), Pearl (vocals), Adrian (bass), Dobo (guitar), and Cecen (keyboard). The band has been Swayin' and Swaivin' with their laid back vibe music, since the year 2011.

Started songwriting after picking up the guitar at the age of 14. Often described as having a unique whispery style of singing which then became part of Swaiv's signature sound. She is influenced by singers such as Julie London, Diana Krall, Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa.

Swaiv – With their slick cool-jazz vibes and Pearl’s silky-smooth vocal styling, Swaiv have established themselves as the pioneering voice of Bidayuh Jazz. Earlier this year, their single ‘Kajun Dawu’ won the Silver medal in the Bidayuh Song Chart Awards.
Gena Sim’s Shanghai Jazz will bring you back to 1920s Shanghai when ladies dressed in qipaos grace the dance floor. Accompanied by Maestro Eugene Suboh’s jazz trio, expect night of timeless music, stories and partying like it’s 1925.
